Lately livetrack stop working... The setup in Garmin Connect Mobile is correct. When I start an activity on my Edge 1030 I do not get the message Livetrack started but I can see the title pictogram in showing on the screen, livetrack is active on GCM, but no SMS and/email are sent. I'am on IOS 12.1.2. Help is welcomed.
  • Crazy this is taking so long to fix, auto live track has worked fine for so long and now dead- Garmin please can we have a comment??

Still the same. Downloaded the app AGAIN. Autostart not working, but manual starting seems to work. Please fix it completely Garmin!
  • Another one the same - stopped working. While a solution is found, I can recommend the free “Road ID” app which basically does the same as Livetrack (but always works!). It’s a pain having to run a second tracking app but it does the job and automatically sends a message if you are stationary for more than 5 mins (you can switch that off!).

To date there has not even been a comment from Garmin let alone a fix for the problem.

For me, as someone who frequently cycles alone, this is an important feature of Garmin Connect. ( and potentially even a life safer).

Garmin could we please have a fix for this problem ASAP

Today I’ve installed the new version 4.16 of the app for iOS hoping that the problem was solved but it doesn’t work at all! So, what’s the reason the make regular update without solving the unique and serious problem in this app?
I start believing that better to use my time looking for a new supplier of bike computer
  • Hi, interesting.... my Livetrack worked with the new 4.16 app update (previously didnt) but my Incident detection showed as failed.

    Notably:-
    • I now no longer need to have the connect mobile app on the livetrack screen - :)
    • Livetrack failed when my phone wasnt within bluetooth range but connected and automatically started as soon as i got within range - :)
So i just need to understand Incident detection a bit more. Unlike Livetrack, i hadnt been using this before so can't hand on heart say i've got it set-up correctly.

Given the number of interested parties i'm a bit surprised that Garmin didnt mention the bug fix when they published the 4.16 app update. Not sure if this is normaly done?

    Same for me.

I to installed 4.16 this morning in the hope that the "problem" would have been fixed. went for a ride and not only would Auto Start not work but Livetack would not work even from the manual start setting.

Come on Garmin please let us users know what is going on and when a "fix" will be available.

After the last update, my livetrack doesn’t work again. So, I have deleted the data of livetrack and unauthorized the term of confidentiality. When I have authorized again my livetrack, it work! I have tried 3 time and my livetrack run! I don’t know how many time it will continue to work but you can try this method. :)
  • Wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of direct response from Garmin Support on this. We spend time trying to unravel the bugs whilst they watch on in silence! This isn't support.
