Run data not uploading to Runkeeper since Garmin Connect Mobile update

I have a Garmin 630 watch purchased in August and data from runs was automatically being uploaded to Runkeeper, but the last successful automatic upload was Oct. 13/16. My next run after that was Oct. 15/16 and it did not upload, and hasn't since Oct. 13/16. I have disabled authorization of Garmin Connect in Runkeeper, and reauthorized but data still doesn't load. I see that there was a Garmin Connect Mobile update around the time my issues started, so am assuming that is the problem. When I check the Garmin Connect Mobile app settings on my phone, Runkeeper is not listed as an option for 3rd party apps. Grrrr. Am I the only one with this issue? Is there a work-around? I tried importing a gpx map file, but that isn't working either! I really don't want to have to be manually entering data into Runkeeper forever...
  • ...and broken again.

So apparently disconnecting and reconnecting is good for exactly one run. Back to using fitnesssyncer.

I doubt that this will be fixed quickly. Garmin and Runkeeper will probably blame each other for the non-functioning sync.

    Situation resolved...

My situation resolved approximately Oct 26/16. My Runkeeper app was already up-to-date as was my watch, but I powered my watch off and on, and after that Garmin Connect Mobile has successfully sent data to Runkeeper.

The latest treadmill run I did was on Nov. 10th and so far nothing appeared on Runkeeper via GC. However, the activity did transfer just nicely via Fitnesssyncer so I guess I'll have to keep using a third party solution for now.
  • Same with wahoo application. More than one month ago it stopped working.
Today was new update of wahoo app and in release notes they said tha garmin stopped supporting 3rd party apps. Probably they changed their policy completely.
  • I think that's bogus - export to Strava works just fine and fitnesssyncer get's my runs into Runkeeper (and wahoo I think) just fine. As with every interface if something breaks it is always the other guy's fault so it usually takes a long time to fix things.

I hope enough Runkeeper Pro Users are opening support tickets on that one.
  • That's my take on it too. It's not for Garmin to supply data to 3rd parties in a format that works for them. It's for 3rd parties to get their systems working with the data that is available from Garmin, especially if those 3rd parties are looking to create a revenue stream.

I continue to have no issues since approximately Oct. 26/16; data successfully gets uploaded to Runkeeper, each time. Although I do not have the paid version of Runkeeper (Runkeeper Go). I use the free Basic Runkeeper.
  • After multiple dis- and reconnects it finally stabilized for my accounts too. I appears that Runkeep did indeed change something on their side because they did send me a few emails pointing out the deeper Garmin integration and even requesting feedback.

If I had to guess this might be because Garmin people moving over to Strava (like I did myself) due to the better integration of segments, beacons etc.
  • Nike+ not syncing

I also have problem since Oct 13,2016. No data upload from Garmin to Nike app.

Might be Garmin problem. When clicking on Application Permission link on Garmin Connect web page it tries to go to: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings/www.nike.com and then page not available.

I sync to both Strava and RunKeeper and indeed last couple of months I notice many contacts moving from RK to Strava. Garmin -> Strava sync works flawless up to now and for all activities. I notice that I look at RK less and less because of this. Still, it would be nice if the sync works as expected. I have once again dis- and reconnected just now. Will check tonight whether it now works.
