Connect App Bluetooth Troubleshooting Message

I recently purchased a Garmin Edge 1000 to upgrade from my Edge 510. Since I added the 1000 and removed the 510, the Connect app is CONSTANTLY giving me the Bluetooth Connection Error message. Phone is a Droid Turbo running lollipop. I don't know why it's doing this. I KNOW THE DEVICE IS NOT CONNECTED - I turned it OFF! Here's my current settings:

On the Phone App:

Auto Upload - Yes
Weather - No
Alerts - No

On the Edge 1000 (Bluetooth Settings):

Enable - Yes
Call and Text Alerts - Yes

The only other Garmin device on the app is the VIRB, and it doesn't have Bluetooth. Anyone know why I keep getting this message on the app? Is there a way to turn it off?

Does the Android bluetooth screen still show the Edge 510 as paired? If so, unpair it. Also, try kill the app and relaunch it.
  • I have the Garmin Forerunner 620 and I run Garmin Connect for Android on my 2013 Motorola Moto X. I had no significant bluetooth issues when my Moto X was on Kit Kat.

Well my Moto X just updated to Lollipop last week and i recently downloaded an update to the mobile Connect app. After the first time I connected my Garmin 620, I have been getting the Bluetooth Troubleshooting notifications constantly. The first time I used the Garmin after these updates, I used the back arrow to go into standby mode and then yesterday I just let it time out into standby after my workout.

Either way, same problem: Constant Bluetooth Troubleshooting notifications! The four-vibration haptic pattern is making it unbearable. Every time Lollipop shuffles the notification priority the phone buzzes at me again!

I have dismissed the notification and force closed Garmin Connect but the notification resurfaces. Rebooting or turning off bluetooth for a while haven't helped either.

I never received this notification before last week. It seems completely unnecessary to me.

Did you get any resolution on this? It is still happening to me, but not as often. When the message first shows up, the alerts are CONSTANT like you said!
  • Same problem here with garmin connect mobile and Android 6.0.1 even if i haven't paired any device with bt... Any solutions?
  • Same here. There seems to be an app problem because this has only just started to happen. Very annoying.
  • Just started for me

This is SOOO annoying. How can we get this to stop???
  • Yup, I am seeing this all the time. Definitely, looking forward to a solution.
  • Connect App Bluetooth Troubleshooting Message on galaxy6

last week I updated garmin connect on my phone. I started getting this message after the update,"Bluetooth Troubleshooting "
the app takes longer to open, and it is running very slow.
I uninstalled the app from my phone, rebooted, reinstalled, I paired my fenix3 again, hoping the problems would go away, but nothing, the "blutooth troubleshooting" message again. the sync seems to take forever, and opening the app takes forever.
is there something happening? thank you

I've been getting this message constantly as well, on my LG V10 running Marshmallow. Odd thing is, it keeps saying Garmin device has disconnected, but it seems to actually be connected. Syncs fine too.
  • Same Issue with the Connect App Bluetooth Troubleshooting Message

I just purchased the Forerunner 735xt. I get this message even when my watch is supposedly connected to my phone. Is there an option to disable this message? Or, to turn off all day syncing without disabling my phone's bluetooth? The only way I've found to get this message to stop is by turning off bluetooth on my phone. I have a 1st Gen Moto X with running lollipop.
