I just got a new vivomove 3 as a present from my wife. I have tried to find the app on the android app store but it does not show up. did some research and found that the app is not available for android use in Guyana. Can this watch be activated and used at all without this app. I have done some checks and have not seen any option for this. Please can you help.

  • and found that the app is not available for android use in Guyana

I have a bit doubts about it. Apart from China or perhaps Iran, I know of no countries that would censor applications, or limit the acces of their citizens to the Google Play Store. Unless you use a Huawei phone that has no access to Google services because of the US ban on them.

But if it is really the case, you should still be able to download and install the app from a public APK archive, such as apkmirror.com or apkssl.com.

If not, you can still use the device with Garmin Express installed on a computer, and syncing the data over the ANT+ stick.

Trux, thank you as I was not too sure I could still use Garmin Express without the app. Also I can confirm it is not available in fact it was only made available for IOS after another user had complained about this issue (I did my research on that part sadly only after I got the watch). So my next move is to try these APK archive this evening and I will update you once I get lucky. Hopefully in the meantime Garmin can still look into this issue as a product provider I would want to reach the wider span and not have anything as basic as this limit the sale of my product. (but that's just my thought).
