Syncing problem

Device will not sync. Stuck on two days ago.

    Just to add my name to the list, having problems synching my Edge 810 via bluetooth and Android.

    Had been working fine but now every attempt to upload a ride results in an "Upload Failed" message. However, occasionally the rides do actually appear on Garmin Connect!

    Using latest firmware and app.

    From the newly posted sticky from Garmin Support:


    "There is a known issue that exists for some customers using the vivofit. The vivofit will successfully sync to the Garmin Mobile application but no new step information appears. If you experience this please try the following as a temporary work around:


    Press and hold the function key on the vivofit for about 12 seconds or until the screen on the watch goes blank. Now attempt to sync the watch to the device. This should now allow steps to successfully sync. A permanent fix will likely be included in a software update sometime in the near future.


    We do apologize for any issues this may have caused you and appreciate your patience."



    Well that does not work I even tried the latest update from Garmin Express and that does not work.

    This is getting to be one big pain in the backside.
    Every week there is some type of problem.

    Yesterday all worked OK then today this problem.

    This know issue is a lot of hot air.
    I would have the problem all the time.
    And then explain Garmin Express the same problems.

    It is about time Garmin fixes all these problems once and for good.

    The problems are at Garmin Connect not any of the step counters.
  • Pretty sure the servers are acting up, I'm unable to sync reliably today even though everything's been working fine for the past month.

    ... I just wish they'd post something to let us know there's issues.

    I hope you're right 'cause I'm having intermittent errors today also.

    Another 810 user. It's 2-3 months now with the syncing problem. Why it have worked brilliantly till last November-December and now not? So many upgrades that are actually downgrades.
  • I guess I'm just adding my name to the list. Last week I got a 920xt. The first work out synched over BT just fine, but since then, I keep getting Synch failed. Synch upload error. Please try again. I have a first gen Moto X running 4.4.4. (KitKat) The watch is on 2.70 (up to date) and GarminConnect is 2.9.1

    They are clearly connected as I'm getting my text, email, and call notifications on my watch. I've also found that reconnect is unreliable at best, and if I get disconnected I start all over from Garmin connect. If I go through the repairing process from just the phone's BT (i.e. respond to the "pairing request" message) my phone becomes unusable with several second delays between an action and a response.

    I've been connecting via WiFi. I do this manually selecting connect to WiFi. It drops the phone connection finds my home WiFi (most of the time) and transfers the workout, step info, sleep info, etc. No problem.


    I just with the Bluetooth transfer/synch actually worked.

    I have been having problems syncing my vivofit to my Samsung S4 for at least a week. How do we fix this?
  • Can't speak to before today but The Connect status page says Garmin is aware of syncing issues and is working on it. Today is likely not at your end.

    Garmin status says everything is now ok, but am still unable to sync. I have had this problem since the end of February.
