Error - a problem occured while attempting to sign into Garmin Connect

After I upgraded to version 2.1 I now can't log in, i get message "a problem occured while attempting to sign into Garmin Connect"

if i write wrong password, application detect it as mistake - it means that connection works and my username and password is correct!

tried to uninstal application, but unfortunately no results.

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

    Exact same problem - cannot log into mobile app (android) using my Garmin Connect username/password.

    Can sign in using PC, can sign in on android on 'full site' but cannot sign in using android app (both 3G and Wifi NG).

    Appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction - thanks

    OK found answer
    To log in to the android app need "username" not e-mail address which is what I use to log into Connect on my PC.
    I have always used my email address in the "username / password" box to log into Connect on the PC.
    So Garmin's terminology is strictly correct but ........

    Hola buenas, yo tengo el mismo problema tengo un Sony z1 con la aplicación Garmin Conect no funciona desde el primer momento, SE HA PRODUCIDO UN PROBLEMA AL INTENTAR INICIAR SESION EN GARMIN CONECT. He desistalado eh instalado varias veces la aplicación con el mismo resultado. Alguien sabe si hay alguna solución. Saludos

  • I had this problem, but to my disappointment it resolved itself, I even don't know what it was.
    I tried different Garmin Connect App versions, it didn't help in my case.

    I have exactly the same proble, bought the Vivosmart couple of days ago, tired to even remove the it from paired devices, and now I can't re-add it, sync it, or sign in. cannot sign in through Wifi or mobile network, uninstalled the application and re-installed it 4 times, now I cann't do anything and the vivosmart is as good as a piece of rubber, I hope anyone can help.

    Did you pair using the phone's native bluetooth? If so, you need to unpair from the phone and pair using Connect by adding a device. Also, it needs to be BT 4.0.

    "Connect" doesn't allow me to sign in so I can pair, every time i get the error message" a problem occured while attempting to try to sign into garmin connect", tried to clear the cashe, re-installing application, no success, I can sign in through website, but for some reason I cannot connect or pair through the Connect application.

    I'm having the exact same problem.
    Does this for me with the Android app, but works perfectly on my wife's new iPhone.
    Will bookmark this thread to see if there are any fixes or suggestions soon. Thanks!
  • Try to do something with time zones. Try to sent up time to "auto" maybe your problems are similar to my solved issue.
