  • It will log strokes, so just enter then the same number into the distance field of the Activity in Garmin Connect.

  • But that won't live push to Strava and you cannot change the distance in Strava once it is in.  I know I can turn off direct import to Strava and amend it before it sends it over using your idea or accept that the Strava distance is zero but it is asking for new requests so a tethered swim activity would solve it.  Thanks for the ideas though.

  • Well, frankly told, I would not count much on Garmin with adding the ideas posted here. It does not happen much. And if it happens, then it takes years.

    What you can also try, is using the standard Pool Swim Activity, and hitting the fist of the hand with the watch against the other hand, every 25 or 50 strokes (or 100 if you set the pool length to 100m), simulating so the wall touch. I do it sometimes in the pool, when the watch fails to detect the pool end correctly, and it works, so perhaps it could work for you too.
