Garmin Connect Mobile Ideas and Suggestions

    adding blood pressure to “my day” in the same way, the weight is kept and assessed

    it is very important for middle aged people, that often start training to prevent the highr blood pressure or to stop blood pressure medikation by losing weight and increasing the condition

  • on sleep stages it would be good to also add % of each stage and maybe benchmark compared to the norms

  • How about adding % to the sleep stage times and have a benchmark comparison to the norms

  • Since Strava made their segments a paid feature, you can take advantage and improve Garmin segments. You can add  KOM and QOM, a brief summary about the the segments rankings (compared to the other users and previous rides). All the information is available but it requires too many clicks to visulize it. 

  • Why don't the Activities listed under "Gear Info" match the activities on my watch? On my watch I can choose an activity, for example Bike or MTB, I use bike when doing road biking and MTB when mountain biking. If I were to add two bikes in the "Gear" tab I would have to make one of them default to "cycling". So regardless of going road biking or mountain biking it will add the bike under default. The app would be alot better if the activities on the "Gear Info" matched the activities in the watch, that way you dont have to update you activity with correct gear every time. Same applies with road running and trail running.

    3. Segments need a lot of work. For example; segments should show all my segment times from every activity, like Strava, not only those that were recorded after the segment was created. They should also be available for other sports as well, like xc-skiing 
    4. more statistics on mobile Garmin Connect app for deeper analysis (graphs, diagrams etc. that can be made freely from all possible data) and more detailed statistics on the web 
    5. searching activity by the name on mobile Garmin Connect app
    6. if I make workout and send it in my device for like interval training, I can only use the data screen with three datafields that are there by default (usually heart rate zone, timer, remaining distance/time, or pace of the step/lap) I also cannot switch to other data screen because there is no data field like remaining time, number of step ...
    7. HR graph should be colored with the zones like on Polar  
    8. training load and VO2 max should be available for other sports too
    9. more data on Garmin Connect Mobile app calendar, like on the web (if you flip the phone there would be more space for data like total time, distance...)   
    10. when building a route on Garmin Connect the elevation wrong. The app always shows more than 30% more than it should
    11. custom made exercises for strength training and cardio ...

  • Also with intensity minutes would be good to be able to click on total minutes and see the break between vigorous and moderate without going to help

  • Some of the features are already available. For example:

    Already available in Garmin Connect Web. See the first option in the cogwheel menu on the Activty page

    Works all right for me. Perhaps a problem of your device not being compatibe with these types of workouts?

    Possibility to compare easily data from year to year and being able to see trends/evolution+-/sums.

    See the Progress Summary report on the Reports page of Gamin Connect Web, select Group by Year » All Days and the desired Activity type

    Not sure what exactly you mean by this, but possibly some of the many reports of the Progress Summary selection could work for you too.

    Works all right for me. Perhaps a problem of your device not being compatibe with these types of workouts?

    My mistake. I was thinking about custom named exercises, not workouts. It would be nice if you could make your own exercise, because sometimes you just cant find the right exercise in the list (they are either missing or named differently). I'll edit it in the post

    Regarding progress summary and year progression; those reports are fine, but it would be nice to see like the difference between current year and past years, like that:

  • The calendar should display the total weekly mileage and you should be able to add and read notes from training plans.
