Have an idea that would improve the Garmin Connect Mobile application? We would love to hear from you! Please use the Garmin Connect Mobile Ideas and Suggestions thread to submit your ideas, suggestions, and recommendations related to the Garmin Connect Mobile app. Thank you very much!
  • ) an more robust weather api for watches.  Give us the option to configure a weather provider from the mobile app and then allow for watchface developers to pull cached weather info from the Connect App to get the weather rather than each developer having to build up their own weather connection.

I have free weather API keys for like 5 different services and just put them into whatever mobile/watch/desktop app that needs an API key.  It makes more sense to just have it entered in one spot.

The stress feature is great but it would be much better if you could visualise “day” or “sleep” stress averages over time. Otherwise your overall stress becomes an average of the two which is not so helpful since they are very different (but both independently very useful values). You have sleep times anyway it so should be simple to calculate this automatically from existing data.

Can I second this? It's really annoying to have to choose one or the other.

  • I recently switched over from Fitbit and bought a Vivoactive 4. I'd say overall I am fairly satisfied, but there are a few really annoying issues.

    1. Ability to manually log body fat %.  When I first started using Connect I was shocked that this wasn't a feature already in place. Why? I've used a couple of smart scales (including Garmin's) and they are wildly off for my body fat %.  I believe the Garmin scale said 7% body fat and I'm actually 18.6%. I want to track my weight loss through body fat and don't want to use a separate app to do it. I'm not going to buy a scale that can't get within 10% of the right number.
    2. As mentioned in other posts, the ability to use imperial for weight (lbs) and metric for distance (kms) would just make life so much easier for Canadian customers.  This is a very common combo in Canada and i'm sure in other countries too.

I wish there was more flexibility as well except I want the opposite (lbs and kms).... just a Canadian that uses a metric and imperial combo. Lol!

  • Recently I noticed that the Garmin connect app has removed the 7-day 4-week and 1-year graphs of specific measurements recorded by the Garmin indeed smart scale. Up until last week I was able to graph my skeletal mass, muscle mas, percent water, and body fat in Garmin connect. In addition, I am a marathoner and I use the change in water weight before and after my runs to monitor my hydration.  Graphically this was much easier to do than it is to look at each individual recording on the scale. That feature has been removed and now I can only see graphs for weight and BMI. I have been successfully able to lose 10 lb of weight in the past 2 months while monitoring my muscle mass. This was very convenient for me to make sure that the weight I was losing was not muscle. Could you please bring back the feature? I understand that this feature might have been removed because it didn't appear as many people were using it but you would have the appreciation of a very loyal customer if you could just reinstate what was already designed. Thank you for your time.

  • Can you add the ability to fetch and log naps on the FR 935 with Garmin connect?

I kept an eye on mine too. I hope they'll bring it back!

  • This would a great change! I lot of the indoor rowing folks would love this change.
