GC won't display data in OnePlus Nord

A few days ago, I changed to a new Android phone (actually, my son's old OnePlus Nord) and I have a strange behavior from the Garmin Connect app.

In particular, when I sync my FR955, GC won't display any data (new and old, News Feed etc.). What I have found is that, if I uninstall and reinstall GC, all data is back there.

But, unfortunately, the next day, the same problem comes back again, so I have to go in the same process once more: uninstall and reinstall the app.

Since this cannot go on forever, does anyone have a clue on what is going on and what can be done to to fix this?

AFAIK, the phone uses OxygenOS, which is a brand of Android, so I guess it has some weird handling of data permissions. First of all I'd go to the OS settings for apps » Garmin Connect, and verify all needed permissions are enabled. If you see some 'advanced' menu or options, be sure to check them too. Especially make sure the app has permissions to use WiFi and BT all the time, including on the lock screen, and that any power saving options are disabled.

The issue you’re describing, where GC works right after reinstalling but shows no data the next day, can happen if another phone or tablet nearby is still paired with your Garmin device. Since this Nord is a hand‑me‑down, it’s worth checking for that.

On all other phones or tablets in the house, remove the watch from Bluetooth → Paired devices and Garmin Connect → Garmin Devices, then restart the Nord. Open Garmin Connect and sync again. Also, double‑check the OxygenOS permissions mentioned earlier (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, background activity, and power saving) to ensure no other device is trying to connect.

Seems that the problem has been resolved.

I granted all permissions and also enabled the "Allow Background Activity" tab.

I don't know which one remedied the problem, but I suspect that it was the latter.

After a few days of normal operation, unfortunately, the problem came back.

I have to power off my phone and power it on again in order to be able to see all my data.

This is driving my crazy. I have followed all the suggestions, as it seems to no avail.

Any more thoughts?

long click on the Garmin Connect icon, then go to the (i) icon (App info), then take a screenshot of the permission settings, and also the Battery usage settings and post them here

Yes. In fact, I uninstalled GC from my old phone, which is now permanently powered off. No other tablet/phone in the vicinity has GC installed.

With my little knowledge, what I understand from this behavior is that there is a problem of connection of the GC app in my phone with the Garmin servers. When the problem emerges, I get a "Loading error" message. When I restart the phone, problem disappears, alas for just a while.
