Garmin connect pairing and configuration fail every time.

Every time I try to connect my edge with Garmin connect app,  configuration fails and sync does not work.

(Phone and Garmin Edge are connected via Bluetooth).

I have tried everything (?).

Edge was formatted due to corrupted route file.

Software was installed via Garmin Express.

My Edge has been working fine before above.

  • It's possible that formatting the Edge is what is causing this, but we can certainly troubleshoot. Please ensure that the Connect app, your phone, and Edge software is all up to date.

    If issues persist, please reply here with what models of Edge and phone are being used.

    All is up to date.

    I have been in contact with latest, Zacharias (If I remember correct).

  • I had this issue after I restored Garmin Connect from a backup. Have you yet tried to uninstall/reinstall the phone app to erase all its data, login, and then try to pair your device? (Also remove any previous BT connection on the phone.)

    Most of the GCA config is stored in the cloud, so not much is lost. Only thing I noticed is the notification settings if you customized which app can send them is reset.

    I'm running out of ideas.

    (I can still upload with a cable).
