Garmin connect pairing and configuration fail every time.

Every time I try to connect my edge with Garmin connect app, configuration fails and sync does not work.

(Phone and Garmin Edge are connected via Bluetooth).

I have tried everything (?).

Edge was formatted due to corrupted route file.

Software was installed via Garmin Express.

My Edge has been working fine before above.

Remove the Edge from bluetooth devices in the phone and then add it to Garmin Connect. The app will then add it to bluetooth devices. You should never do that yourself.

I have done that +20 times, no luck.

It connects, but app States configuration failed and it does not sync.

I should never do what myself?

You should never add the device to bluetooth devices on the phone. It is handled by Garmin Connect. That is the most common reason to pairing issues. The users connect the device to bluetooth devices on the phone and after that tries to add it to Garmin Connect. Or don't remove it from bluetooth devices before trying to add it to Connect again after a reinstall or factory reset.

I have this too for my 965 and android. I think since the app updated a week ago, but could also be the watch update. It has worked fine for 2 years.

And I have hard reset the watch and reinstalled the app and adding through the app. It finds the watch, gets to "Configuration" and then fails.
