Wellness data not synchronizing to connaect.garmin

Hallo!

This is going on again. For some time was fine, but now again for second time - I have these data on my Epix pro (gen2), but cant get them into connect.garmin. Not in android, not via express garmin. I do not have another account or something like that. Yesterday was fine, an pretty sure - tomorrow also again will be fine, till next time.

I experienced such problems also with my previous watches - fēnix 5, 6, 7, wrote in forum but no any solution for that. So shame on garmin about that.

  • Intermittent issues that only affect few users are very hard to find a solution to.

    When it works again do you get the data from previous days also synced or is that data lost?

    A sync with Garmin Express usually helps. Or a restart of the watch.

    A common solution to this is to remove the watch from Connect and bluetooth devices and then add it again.

  • No, data is lost, ir stays only on watch. And garmin express or restart or whatever do not fix this issue.

  • I recommend to Remove and Add a Device From the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support, then log a few minutes of steps and HR, and record a test activity, wait till the next morning, sync, and see whether it helped. If not, then have a look at the Troubleshooting guide for (some) data missing after syncing for more tips. 

  • I have everything fine with connection, connect.garmin just do not synchronize data in time span between midnight till wake up time, after that everything is working as usual. That is this odd error. At midnight I already was sleeping, so whats happened? And as I mentioned - there is no problem with device association to my account. I have all data in since I woke up. And next days all syncing without problems.

  • If you already tried the suggested steps without any change, I would check the Device Sync Audit and search for errors in the audit corresponding to the critical time (the beginning and the end of the missing data). The audits are at bottom of the Settings menu of the GC app. You can browse through the individual audits using the arrow buttons at the bottom.

    Also make sure that the time, date, and time zone are correct and identical both on the watch and on the phone - a difference in time settings may cause similar problems.

  • Cant see any sync problems, no errors reported: 

  • And what is more interesting - last sync before that is from day before, at 21:35, and next sync is from 20th of may, 5:50 in morning. But in connect garmin wellness data are till midnight and then from ~5:50, when I woke up, but from midnight till then - empty. So somehow connect garmin recognizes data till midnight, but then something is wrong and from wake up time again everything is fine.

  • And you see all data on the watch for that time during the night?

    If data is missing during sleep it often means that the battery saver is enabled and turns off functions.

  • I see data on watch and battery saver is enabled for every night, but body battery, stress and hart rate are tracked (I do not switch off optical hart rate sensor), so there is no difference from other days.
