I am now having the same issue on a new Samsung Galaxy S25+. Worked before on a different phone. It's also only showing a blank map in the activity overview, when I open the map, it shows the black track…
I just went through my device and toggled every display-related setting (dark mode, contrast, live display, refresh rate, etc) with no change.
I also cleared all app data and signed back in. No change…
I am having the same issue on my Pixel 9 Pro running GrapheneOS. Not sure when this started. Pretty sure I have had the colourful line before...
No colour key at the bottom.
If I tap on the map symbol in the right corner. There is no possibility to add colours
It seems that Garmin is too busy building pay-walls to useless features to debug basic app functionality. This feature has been missing for months for some. It started in 2024 for others. I have opened multiple support cases and never heard anything back other than "factory reset your tracker and mobile device," which, come on; why would I do that? Wiping a mobile means a lot of backing up, importing accounts and data, configuration of settings, all to end up in the same place.
When I got a new phone, I installed this app and looked back at my old tracks an they were still black with no speed data colorized. However, the speed data is there, as evidenced by the browser view of the same activities.
Was there any fix for this? i also have the black line issue, it still gives pace details in mr NRC connection though. Im pretty sure it happened over night, or after switching on some 3d elevation and horizon settings ... dont know if that made a difference?
No fix, and no help from support. They gave me the usual, "Uninstall and reinstall the app, and if that doesn't help, factory reset the tracker, and if that doesn't help, factory reset the mobile device. This problem was on my last phone, a Pixel 3, and I wiped the tracker and reinstalled then. Months later, I got a new phone, which was obviously wiped, and the problem has been present on this mobile as well. They are more interested in how to extract money from us than supporting the devices and services we paid for. So, yeah, that feature is gone for many of us now. No explanation. I'm not sure if it's something we do in the app, but I see the information in the web interface just fine.

I don't understand it worked then stopped working? All I did on my phone that day was activate a VPN through Google and active the 3D options for pace timing ... That's all now deactivated and still no colours line. It weird that NRC shows me a pace line through gmin connect link up and all the pace times etc are displayed in tables but not on pace line. The line must be the issue therefore an issue with the app not calculating from the tables to show the line. It must be a connect app issue ... Nothing I've done .. .
