Repeated constant pairing request vivoactive 4 iPhone

I have an iPhone and am trying multiple pairing request from my vivoactive 4. Just typing this out I received 6. My watch is paired. I disconnected the watch, reinstalled the watch, deleted and reinstalled the app. Deleted and reconnected the watch from my Bluetooth. I still get the pairing requests multiple times every 2-3 minutes. I’ve been trying to look at others discussion boards, but haven’t found any with iPhones. What can I do to resolve this issue. It is driving my nuts to the point that I can’t work on my iPhone.

You should not pair the watch through the BT f the phone, only through the app. You can try the following - remove the watch from GC and remove it from BT on the phone, then add it back only though the app. If not sufficient, some resetting, reinstalling, and restarting of all components may be needed, but the simple removing and re-pairing usually helps.

I only do it through the app. Still didn’t stop.

... also make sure there are no other devices around, paired with the watch, when you are pairing it with the phone.

I'm having the same problem and can't seem to find any info. I've had the watch and phone paired for some time and just recently started getting "phone disconnected" on the watch and many, many pairing requests on phone. I pair using Garmin connect and its fine for about 10 min. I feel a recent update on either the phone or watch (more likely as i use graohene os with no problems before) is the culprit
