my connect app is not properly counting my active calories
just checked I burned 875 ACTIVE calories.
Yes, you wrote that already, but that's the value for the day. The question was how many Active Calories you burned in the individual activities…
We have the same problem, have you solved it?
It is just a problem of understanding the terms. Read their explanation at
Ah, OK, sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, that's what I wrote and what I suggested too - when you do not wear the watch (or disable the HR sensor), the calories come from the head unit. At least so…

That's a different case. When you use two devices with the Unified Training Status, then the calories come from the Primary Wearable Device. If you want to have the calories from Edge you would have to disable the heart rate sensor on the watch, or remove it from the wrist. That's a known issue, and Garmin does not seem to be thinking it is necessary to change, but I recommend contacting them, and asking them anyway.
Before with the 10 30 it didn't do it, it's doing it with the 10-40. And consider that when I use the cycle computer I leave the watch at home. then when I come back and reconnect it logically it takes the calories of the watch which are practically zero it's as if I hadn't done any activity for the health of the Connect

Yes, it happens with newer devices only. It is how Garmin claims it is supposed to work now. You need to stop wearing the watch if you want the Calories from Edge 1040. Or contact Garmin at https://support.garmin.com or suggest a change at Share Ideas | Garmin. Here on the user forum, we cannot help you.
Just to be clear, that is not what is happening.
I usually record my bike rides with the Edge 840. My watch is at home. When I'm back I synch the Edge activity (sometimes before I take the watch on again, sometimes after). Afterwards I have the correct amount of active calories in the database.
Well, as I wrote, contact Garmin directly. There is apparently some problem with newer Edges, but you need to speak to the Support, since I am afraid they will only move and start investigating if there are numerous Support tickets on the same topic.
Sorry, this is a misunderstanding. I'm having no problems whatsoever. I was answering to 1071998 how I do it and what works for me. He claimed that if you leave your watch at home you would get zero calories. At least for me this isn't the case.
