Does anyone like the layout of beta web page?

I dislike the new home screen on the web,  I was told that I can not go back to the classic design.  I submitted my complaint to the developers though Chat.  Anyone else submitted negative feedback?

  • Brillaint, please share steps to do this as I know it will be popular with so many Garmin users here

  • It's not really a long-term solution, you won't get current bugfixes and sooner or later run into problems with updated watches or new devices.

  • That's not an issue for me. Unless they resolve the issues with this update e.g. scrap it. My next new device won't be Garmin anyway.

  • I must mention you are taking some risk downloading an APK form a third party site and not from the google play store. uptodown.com claims it verifies the apks although I am not sure how well. I was ok with the risk but this is for you to decide. I first uninstalled the current Garmin Connect App. I downloaded mine from https://connect.en.uptodown.com/android select the version from the dropdown and download. Then find it in your downloads folder and tap on it, you may be asked what to open it with and select system installer. I think you have to enable installing from unknown sources which will vary depending on your android version, so if that isn’t already set on you phone you may need to google for instructions for that.

  • I agree this is not a long term solution but I have been using Garmin connect for a very long time and it has been really good up until now. The prior version was solid for me so I am not too concerned with staying on that version for a while. Everyone makes a misstep once in a while and suspect Garmin will realize their mistake and resolve the issue in a future release. I will get back on the standard release at that time.

  • I had auto update enabled so it reverted to the latest version. You can go to the app in the google play store and tap the three dots in the upper right and uncheck enable auto update if you run into this issue.

  • I agree with you 100% I used to check my heart rate, steps, sleep and activities much easier. I absolutely hate the new setup and plan on switching to another brand or just abandoning it all together. Such a bummer!

  • Thank you. It is so nice to have the classic view back  appreciate the risk of using an older version is mine Grinning
