Hi,
For about a month now my Forerunner 955 gives me ridiculous altitude readings ranging from -45.000 to +30.000 and everything in between. I've clocked runs with 35.000+ elevation, great performance, but sadly untrue. Latest updates are installed, I have read and tried about soaking in warm water to clear the port but nothing makes a difference. Even when the barometer reads normal around 1000 mBar, I'm still 27.000m below sea level? Any ideas?
Also, does this effect my VO2max calculation? As the running power is of the scale on some runs due the watch thinking I'm running up Mt Everest every 7 minutes.
I'm assuming the VO2 just uses heart rate/pace though?
Thanks,
Fred
