Garmin Connect App on Android won't stay open

Hello - I saw this question posted a few years ago, with no solution other than call Garmin, but thought ask try again, since support is closed today. I woke up this morning, and my Garmin Connect app on my Google Pixel will not stay open. Android version is 14.  9 hours ago, there was no problem. Since then, the time updated  automatically to account for DST.I have cleared the cache, stopped the app, restarted my phone, uninstalled the app, restarted the phone....it still won't stay open. No surprise - it also isn' t syncing to my watch. Since I also have a Google Chromebook, there will be no syncing until the problem with the app on my phone is resolved. Any other ideas of how to fix this would be appreciated. 

  • I was able to get it working by uninstalling and turning the phone off, syncing to a laptop, then turning the phone back on and reinstalling. At that point, everything worked fine, but after reading responses here, I took the additional step of exiting the beta program. I'm not sure if the solution was in the steps or if Garmin did something, but I'm happy to be operational again. 

  • Also a beta user on Android. Kept crashing and un/reinstalled the app multiple times to no avail. This fixed my issue. 

  • Same issue - uninstalled a handful of times and cleared all settings. No luck. They need to fix this
