garmin pay can't verify my mastercard

Hi,

I have a Venu 3 and would like to add my Mastercard (prepaid from Intesasanpaolo Italy bank) to Garmin Pay. However, when I try to verify it on Garmin Connect, the app mobile bank can't finish the verification.

I contacted bank support and they told me that at this moment, the service is suspended maybe for some issue on MasterCard side, because the VISA card should not have this problem.

Have you experienced this also with other card/bank from Italy or other countries??

  • Non è un problema di Intesa, è un problema di Garmin perchè è la loro applicazione 

  • Allora, arrivato oggi il venu 3, ho anch'io intesa ed anch'io stesso iter inutile di telefonate con risposte assolutamente da incompetenti (6). E' l'app garmin che ha il problema non facendo il redirect corretto a quella intesa, non proponendo nenche l'SMS come alternativa e non c'è al momento niente da fare, sorry. Io ho risolto in modo molto semplice associando la mia curve con la quale utilizzo tutte le card che mi pare, intesa in primis, vi consiglio di fare così.

  • Il problema è stato risolto con il mio bancomat mentre permane il mancato redirect all'app intesa con la carta di credito. 

  • in che modo è stato risolto? Non mi riferisco all'utilizzo di Curve che è un prodotto di terze parti ed è solamente un workaround

  • Same problem here in the US with my Mastercard. I had this with my Venu 2 and now with my Venu 3. 

    What is most annoying is that it runs you through the entire process of entering all the data for the card to just say "try again later" and goes back to the empty entries. All the data I just entered is gone. Come on Garmin, could you check the card first and then ask the user to enter the data or at least keep the data saved. 

  • I previously had a Commonwealth Bank MasterCard on Garmin pay and it was working fine. Then I had to cancel that card and get a new MasterCard, and now I can't add the new card to Garmin pay. It says to contact the bank but I've been on hold for over an hour now, and I'm not sure they'll be able to help me after reading this thread! I just want to buy a coffee after a swim

  • So It seems to be more of a MasterCard issue rather then a specific bank one.

    Is there a customer support for MasterCard that could help figure out the problem?

  • I'm on hold with them now (on my work phone) - let's see who answers first lol
