garmin pay can't verify my mastercard

Hi,

I have a Venu 3 and would like to add my Mastercard (prepaid from Intesasanpaolo Italy bank) to Garmin Pay. However, when I try to verify it on Garmin Connect, the app mobile bank can't finish the verification.

I contacted bank support and they told me that at this moment, the service is suspended maybe for some issue on MasterCard side, because the VISA card should not have this problem.

Have you experienced this also with other card/bank from Italy or other countries??

    Succede anche a me con il Bancomat. Il servizio Google Pay è stato sostituito da Google Wallet ma, anche se hanno aggiornato l'applicazione Intesa San Paolo, ancora non si riesce ad aggiungere la carta.

    anche a me dava come errore qualcosa su google pay o simile.. pensavo infatti fosse un problema di app!

    in realtà credo di essere passato a g wallet diversi anni fa e non ho avuto problemi a riaggiungere la carta. 

    ISP dice che è un problema di mastercard.. boh

    È un problema diffuso. Riguarda solamente l'aggiunta della carta. Qualcosa a che fare con un token autorizzativo. Chi lo ha fatto il passato, ora non ha questo problema. 

    Sono ormai molti mesi che si protrae, non saprei nemmeno a chi segnalarlo. In Intesa dicono che è un problema noto, ma non sanno dirmi altro.

    Esattamente.. a me il supporto di ISP disse che era un problema di Mastercard in quanto non avevano ricevuto segnalazioni con carte Cisa!!

    Anche qui sul forum cominciano a comparire altre discussioni su altre carte Mastercard...

    Hey ,

    have you some information about this issue? Is it related to GarminPay, to Mastercard or to the bank?

    I found similar discussion on this forum and it seems something about mastercard and garmin. I also found this discussion from maybe an italian user with my same bank/card but differents devices; he also could verify his card first, but he can't now (I can't from when I buyed my new venu 3 on january, I was able to have garmin pay on my previous device, same card).

    Intesa San Paolo support, said that it's all about some agreements with Mastercard and Garmin; is that correct? Have you more info about that?

    Some cards from participating banks might not be supported by Garmin Pay; It is possible that the card that was previously supported is no longer supported by Garmin pay. We highly encourage that you reach out to your bank for any additional information regarding this.

    So, is there a list of cards supported by Garmin?? Because they said that it's still supported; Garmin side just specified the bank and visa/Mastercard.

    Hello, many of us already reached out to the bank and got confusing answers. It is still unclear who is responsible for this unavailability: the bank, the card issuer, or Garmin. It would really be helpful if you could find out what happened at the end of the year 2023 that broke the ability to add new cards to GP. As customers, we can only go so far. Thanks
