Today sleep duration has disappeared from the app and the sleep score has moved to the bottom

There hasn't been an app update, but suddenly today stuff has moved around on the main screen. My sleep duration and sleep score when available are shown close to the top somewhere, but then weren't showing up today. I found the sleep score right at the bottom of the main screen though.

I went to "edit my day" and see sleep score is right at the bottom, but I didn't put it there. Also the sleep duration has completely disappeared and I cant enable it again - it's not in the hidden cards section or even in the "health stats" menu.

Have the normal sleep duration and the sleep score tiles been combined into 1 now?

  • Same here.. It was better the way it was.

  • Totally agree. Much better ux the way it was imo.

  • Me to ,I thought the sleep tab was missing until I saw this thread, its much worse now its changed to this ,seems a really bad idea...

  • they dont read here (official) about problems

In general, this is usually true, but there was a response from Garmin in the main thread - v4.70 App Changes - Garmin Connect Mobile Android - Mobile

Update as of August 24, 2023:

Feedback is currently being reviewed regarding the recent changes made to Garmin Connect 4.70.

Please direct message me with the a brief explanation on any concerns with the changes made in the recent 4.70 update, along with the smartphone type you are using, and I will get your feedback submitted directly to our team currently reviewing the changes made.

    Thank you,

  • At least, that's not a common practice. It's nice that things change.

  • Very glad you posted this! I was running into the same problem and thought I had changed something accidentally. I really liked how I could see the sleep factor durations in the graph before. Miss that feature but at least can still find it easily on my watch.

  • I don't think it was on purpose.  I think the server-side code got screwed up.

  • This is the worst possible change! I want more control of my sleep information, not less. The watch often doesn't track my sleep times correctly and I need to be able to adjust my sleep times. I work two jobs and often sleep two short periods per day. It was bad enough that the watch only keeps track of one sleep cycle power day, now I can't even adjust that. If this isn't fixed I'll be looking for a better product.

  • The loss of the "sleep" card is unfortunate. The other problem is, with only the "sleep score" the card available, I can no longer edit sleep times from days before today. Since garmin's sleep duration is wildly inaccurate (unlike Fitbit) and I can't check immediately every morning, this is extremely frustrating.

  • Same here. Sleep score and sleep duration graphs merged in one. The main problem for me is that the breathing and pulse ox are not shown anymore in the app together with the sleep (Vivosmart 5). The information is still there on the online version, but I don't use it on my computer. I want the option to see that data on the phone. That data is the main reason why I bought this device.
