I use Cronometer to track calories consumed and it computes an estimate of calories burned based on the Thermic Effect of Food for the fat, carbs, and protein entered.
Assuming that TEF raises your heart rate and Garmin uses HR as one part of its equation to calculate either Active or Resting calories, is it correct to assume that TEF is already indirectly counted by Garmin?
Or are Garmin Resting and Active calories based solely on age, weight, etc., and steps?
