Resting calories too high

Resting Calories are based on your age, height, weight and gender, so if the result is an order of magnitude higher, there might be a problem with some of that data entries. Verify them, and check out whether you entered them in the right units too.

I should have mentioned that all the metric units and information I entered is correct.This morning the resting calories have reduced to 4733 calories. It's so confusing! Perhaps the device is still calibrating? 

Where exactly do you see the value? On the watch, or in Garmin Connect? And are you sure you are really looking at the Resting Calories and not another value? Could you post a screenshot? 

Thank you for your assistance! I'm looking at Garmin Connect, but it also shows on my device. The top screen of the first photo refers to daily stats from yesterday.
