Repeated bluetooth pairing codes after disconnecting watch (bis)

Since Garmin closed the previous forum (https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-mobile-andriod/283174/repeated-bluetooth-pairing-codes-after-disconnecting-watch)  saying the problem was fixed, it has gotten worse. The problem persists. My forerunner 745 unpairs every time I move a bit away from the phone and I have to re-pair over and over again. Please Garmin, fix this issue. Forerunner 745 with Samsung Galaxy A32, Android 12. Thanks.

  • Of course, in the forum that Garmin closed, it says that it is Samsung's fault.

But, in any case, Garmin is omitting to publish that its products are not compatible with the Samsung A series.

  • I am experiencing this issue on my Venu 2 Plus and Pixel 7 Pro currently as well. Any time the BlueTooth is toggled on/off on the phone, or the phone is restarted, the watch never auto reconnects and instead I need to manually re-pair it using the pairing code and the Garmin Connect App

  • What a disappointment. I've been saving up for a new Venu 2S, and even I finally get it, this issue continuously happens.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, with the latest updates. My watch is also up to date in firmware.

But it sounds like it occurs on Android phones not just Samsung, if there is an issue on the Pixels too.

How do we get a Garmin rep on this thread??

  • Same issue for me as posted over here. Extremely frustrating.  https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/venu/322290/garmin-venu-disconnecting-from-android-phone-5-10-times-daily/1610042#1610042

For what it's worth, for me this occurs on a Nokia and a Blackview, so definitely Android related as opposed to just bring a Samsung issue.

  • I found this thread and I'm gonna try all the options this weekend and report back!

  • I went into the mountains, with no cell service or wifi and thus started happening... Started happening to my Lily yesterday, June 20th 2023. I've had the Lily for a few months and it just suddenly started notifying me continually that it was disconnected/connected. No Lily or Samsung Galaxy updates happened yesterday. Wondering if it was because I went out of cell and wifi...

  • Fixed it with 1) watch settings reset to default and uninstalled/reinstalled app on phone at the same time, i also removed the Lily from my Bluetooth and reconnected it. I have a Lily and  Samsung Galaxy. Similar issue, went into the mountains, no cell and wifi, and started experiencing the disconnect/connect alerts.

  • This has been happening to me for a few months now - sonce I got a new phone (Samsung S23). It never happened to me previously with previous or current watch (vivoactive 3 and venu sq) with my old S21 phone. It's really, really frustrating - as it makes the 'find my phone' feature impossible to use (I'm ADHD and use this a lot!) and also just having to go through the whole pairing process multiple times a day if I want to be able to sync my watch data and use the app at all.

  • I had the same issue, and I narrowed ot down to the Alarms. When I switched to new app on new phone, there were no alarms in garmin app.  On my watch I still had around 6 alarms i used regularly.. Since it was easier to enable/disable the alarms from watch, that's what I did. It was around  these times when I would get the Pairing request " You have a Venu2 registered to Garmin account ,pair now. For me the fix was to remove all the alarms from watch, and set them from the app. I don't think the app/watch liked to be out of sync with each other. Maybe safer to factory reset watch when going to new pho e, as it clears out alarms too. These issues seem to be tied to moving  to a new phone, and I am tipping g no o e uses new app to change alarms
