Cannot rename course after last app update (4.58)
When I rename a course the "done" button dissappears in the top right corner.
When I press the back button the app aks if I want to continue without saving.

This is the workaround I have been using.
- After you rename a course, the DONE button disappears.
- Tap the Options button.
- Tap Add Course Points.
- When the new window pops up, just tap back without…
I'm having the exact same issue. I wish that Garmin would just keep the same name as the file you are importing rather than defaulting to whatever the day's date is. We wouldn't have to rename the courses…
How on earth is this still not fixed? I'm a developer, if I introduced a regression like this and didn't fix it I'd never hear the end of it!
I have exactly the same issue since the last update of Garmin Connect on my Android phone.
The "Save" button disappears when I try to change on the name of the course and accept it.
I have tried to open a desktop session of Garmin on the phone but it does not work as wished.
However, I am able to change the name of the course on my tablet, which is also working on Android. Probably, I have not updated it recently and still works properly.
I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall the App on the phone without success.
This is quite annoying and should be fixed asap
There is a workaround - rename your course, tap the three dots and hit Add a Course point and choose Generic, add it anywhere on the map. Then you will be able to save it. Then edit it again, tap the Course point and delete it. Then you can save it as originally planned. But please, fix this.
I find a bug in the android apps Garmin connect.
I import a GPX. It works but the name of the circuit is casted like "run of #date#".
I can confirm the import.
Now, if I change the name, the save button disappears and it is impossible to confirm.
A modification of a circuit name has the same problem
A solution consists in using the web interface.
I am having the same issue in Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. I can import the GPX and see everything but it will not save when I click the Done button.
I checked the workaround of the course point and it works. Thank you for your help.
I edit the name as usual and then add a course point (I have tried with "Generic" and "Water", but I suppose any course point would make the trick).
I then tap next and save. I have the course with the correct name and with a course point I do not need.
By the way, if you add a "water point" anywhere on the map, it will be saved in the closest position on the course, not where you originally placed it. This is not the best option IMHO, because you want to know where the fountain actually is, not the closest point to the fountain on the course!
You can leave the point there or edit the course again and delete the course point (tap edit, tap the point, delete and save).
It may be a silly thing to add and delete a point, but it works perfectly.
