Any user who experiences any sort of skin irritation will need to reach out to us directly at support.garmin.com. We will need to gather information from you that we would not ask for in a public forum. These complaints are taken seriously and we will work to find the most suitable solution as quickly as possible.

Just a side note: there is no laser, it is a plain LED. The irritation from the light itself is not too probable - photodermatitis (light allergy) is quite rare, and it is rather an allergy to the sunlight, which is much stronger than the light from the LED.

What is more probable, is either an irritation caused by the bacterial deposit under the watch, or an allergy to the metallic charging contacts. Wash the watch daily, and after each sweaty effort, with an antibacterial soap. And get a cover for the contacts like the one shown below. I've got 10 of them for free from AliExpress when ordering a spare charging cable.
