Normally I connect with eMail address and password, but recently noticed, after entering username and password, that I was connected to another account with another unknown email address.
Has anybody else had this "problem"?

This is difficult to diagnose with just the info in this forum, but…
Reach out to Garmin Support. Use the chat or phone option. If you're seeing some other users' data, then that is an unintentional violation of Garmin's security and privacy policy.
