Fenix 6x Sync problems

For some reason, my Fenix 6x has stopped uploading any and all data to Garmin Connect. The last data imported was Friday Dec 31. I can see all of the data on the watch, steps HR, Sleep etc, but no matter what I've tried, I cannot get it to sync with my Android (Samsung Note 20Ultra) and I made no changes to either devices

The device is not connected to any other apps, only Garmin.

The watch is on Software Version 19.30 (cbce97)

The Phone app is version 4.49.1

Powered both devices off and back on again

Cleared Data and Cache in the Garmin app on my phone and rebooted

Removed the device from my Garmin Connect app and added it back

Tried to sync over WiFi (Came back "Failed")

(I've also looked at the "Sync" sticky post and it was unfortunately no help)

I am receiving notifications on the watch

I am not getting any errors when I try to sync

I dont want to reset the watch if I don't have to but that might be my last resort

Any thoughts? Thanks much for your time

Does syncing with Garmin Express work or do you get errors there?

There are no errors on Express, it all looks "normal". I've tried it on a 2nd Windows PC and it's still not updating on Connect

Are your activities syncing at all when using Garmin Express? Are you seeing new activities since December 31? If not, try a manual upload just to see if there is an issue with any corruption in your activity history on the watch - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If things look like they're syncing on Express and on the App (Green dot completes the circle around the device icon)

then I would look into the possibility that you've logged in with a 2nd Garmin account - Data is Missing from My Garmin Connect Account After Syncing | Garmin Support

I don't see any activities after Dec 31 in Connect although I can see them on the watch. Yes, Garmin Express circle turns green, and I only have 1 Garmin account. I tried to upload Sleep data and it says the file had already been uploaded

The green circle is on the Garmin Connect app. Try the manual upload to Garmin Connect Web - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

Well, that could be a problem, there is no file in the Activity folder in the watch

Try power cycling the watch - Hold down light button (top/left) for 15 seconds until the screen goes dark
Hold light button again for 1 second to power it on
Do a short test activity - Select activity, start, stop, save
Connect watch to a computer and see if the .FIT file exists in \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder. On my watch (Forerunner 945 LTE) the activity .FIT files are located here - "This PC\Forerunner 945 LTE\Primary\GARMIN\Activity"

Getting close to needing a full factory reset and contacting Garmin support if you still see no .FIT files in that folder. Of course, you will lose all activities and data since December 31.

I think a reset will be in order. I'll do that, get it set up again and try a little activity and test again. I'll let you know a little later. Thanks so much for all your help

A factory reset fixed the issue. It's a major pain, but it's fixed. Thanks very much for your help

far too often, this is GARMIN's only option.
