Why are steps, stairs, and calories in the MyDay widget just for one day, but intensity minutes are cumulative for the week? Same on my VA4 as it was on the VA3. Quite irritating.

How many Intensity minutes did I have Tuesday?
Around 20, I'd tell, and do not quite see what differnce it makes to know whether it was 18 or 22. It was simply to few - and that's the information I need.
I just want the day's IM in the My Day widget on my watch.
So why do you post to the GC Mobile app forum? If you want it on the watch, you better discuss it on the forum relevant to your watch model. Or get a Connect IQ extension offering it.
I understand your desire to have it show the daily number as a default. However, it may be on some days that one has zero intensity minutes. This could be construed as a negative or a failure on their part by some people but that isn't really the case. I happen to have intensity minutes every day due to having workouts of some kind scheduled every day but I wouldn't necessarily be worried about a day with zero intensity minutes. It doesn't mean that I was sedentary. However, I'm sure that some people would construe having no intensity minutes for a given day is a bad thing and part of the reason for tracking and showing certain metrics is provide motivation. Hence the phrase Garmin seems to put everywhere, "Beat yesterday." This is isn't something that should be applied to intensity minutes. It isn't a necessary or a good goal for someone to record moderate or vigorous activity every day of the week depending on their current fitness level and where they are on their fitness journey. So by having daily intensity minutes as default metric may give the impression to some people that they are not doing a good enough job. That said, I understand your frustration and perhaps having the option for showing daily intensity minutes would be good for users like yourself. I actually value weekly intensity minutes much more than the other metrics and I don't really care how many steps or floors I do daily.
Great comments, thanks. I would really like to see it in My Day on the watch obviously , but if they can't put it on the watch, at least adding a "Today's total" line to the card in the app would be useful. Like you, it is the number I am most interested in.
Thanks again for the thoughtful response!

As I already suggested - you can use a Connect IQ extension for that purpose. After a quick look, I found for example this one: Minutes, but there are certainly more of them in the IQ store.
Thanks. That extension doesn't work on VA4. Have been trying to find something (simple) that works.
I appreciate you checking into it and giving me options. I can get the daily IM on several watch faces, so it is findable. Just wish It was where it made sense (to me anyway) directly from Garmin.
