Feature request: Sync battery level from device to Garmin Connect and Battery low notification from app

It would be nice to be able to see the current battery level (of in my case a Forerunner 245M device) in the Garmin Connect App and also to have more fine grained user control over when battery low warning(s) is/are issued (e.g. <20%, <15%, <10%, <5%, one or several).

I tend to miss the single short vibration notification of the watch at 10% battery level. It would be very useful to also be able to get a notification (at a user defined level) from the Garmin Connect app. That way the notification is available as a reminder on the phone until it is swiped away.

This is today a common feature for other devices such as wireless headsets, etc. I wonder why this feature has not already been imlemented by Garmin long time ago...?

  • On my watch faces I ask the user directly if they want the screen on all the time

If you are a CIQ developer, coding watch faces, then I do not understand why you do not write a CIQ app and a phone companion for displaying the battery status on the phone, yourself. And there perhaps may be one already.

Additionally I do not understand that you have your own watch face that does not turn off while charging, and in the same time you complain that your screen turns off during the charging and hence you cannot see the battery gauge. I am confused.

It's kind of missing the point. Surely Garmin Connect [and watch face] should provide the functionality natively for all users without having to develop it for them?

The functionality should be part of the product that was purchased. It is with most other products.

Sorry, but as I already wrote, we cannot help you with that here on the user forum. We can only help you by offering available solutions. For any change in the app or in the firmware, you have to suggest it to Garmin:  Share Ideas | Garmin

  • Charged Venu 2 to over 90% last night, went to bed, woke up next day and watch battery was dead. Where can I see what used up the battery?

  • This would be nice to be able to check power from my phone.

  • The phone could even warn you about low watch battery, as the watch does for the phone.

  • Can the app add battery % within the app

  • I can not find any function about the power level of devices on App.

Please, I believe many users need this.

  • dear Garmin fans. I have been using the Garmin fenix 6. I have been thinking about it since I bought the watch. I just had the opportunity to write this. Wouldn't it be better if you could develop an indicator in this area that the watch is out of charge, with new updates in Garmin Connect?

  • It’s super frustrating when my Vivomove 3S dies in the middle of the day because I only have a useless tiny bar on the watch that shows my battery level. Why can’t they make a battery percentage section in the app so I know when to charge my device?
