Consideration of virtual outings for cycling badges for the month of January

Hi,

I just noticed that my outings on Zwift do not count towards obtaining the January cycling badges ("200km by bike from January 10 to January 23", and "Cycling in 2021 - Stage 1").
Why no longer take them into account? it's still cycling, and during the winter + covid + curfew in France, the home trainer remains a very popular activity. And much safer.

Is it a badges configuration error or a real decision to exclude the virtual from the real?

They still do count as long as you record them with a Garmin device. There are also other workarounds, like editing the FIT file from Zwift, or recording a dummy activity and editing it in Garmin Connect, although recording the indoor ride with your Garmin device, and editing the distance to the true value, once you complete the ride, is the simplest way to get the ride counted.

Thank you for your answer. But until December, Zwift auto-synchronized virtual races in Connect were counted in cycling badges. Rather weird that since January, it doesn't.
