Forerunner 35 didn't log any steps at all although Garmin Connect can see the activity

Could you elaborate closer on it? What activity are you speaking about? Running, Walking, Cycling, Strength, or anything else?

Hey, yeah as I mentioned, it was walking. Both the watch and Connect have registered the activity but it just had zero steps.

That's possible for example if the arm wearing the watch did not move (for example pushing a caddy, or something similar). Or if the accelerometer of the watch stopped working, but I guess you would see instantly whether it counts steps or not.

Yeah I've had it when I've been pushing a trolley or buggy (also annoying AF!) But this was just a normal walk, like I did yesterday, and like I have done every morning since lockdown.

It logged my steps later in the day, around 3k.

Go to the page https://connect.garmin.com/modern/daily-summary/2020-06-26/steps, make a screenshot, and post it here, perhaps we can see where the problem is.
