Shows initially, rename and gone. Go out and back into activity and it'll be back again
Yes, it is the way it works. After edit, the map does not reload, so you have to re-enter the activity. If you find it annoying, just report it to Garmin Support, and hope they fix it once, though I do not believe it will be too high on their priority list, since it does not seem to be any critical bug.
