Xiaomi Pocophone F1 - Venu loses phone trustability with no reason, "Watch/App/Phone compatibility problem"

After reading many posts here I am almost sure that I am going to have a standalone smartwatch...

Already tried all the procedures described on troubleshooting about that. Of course no success!

I'm actually able to painfully sync everything again (by uninstalling app, removing from Bluetooth and doing the whole procedure again in the other way around. COOL).
The problem is that after no more than 1 night of "stand by" while sleeping, the phone is not able to send notifications to smartwatch anymore (also includes music controls).

Already tried to lock the cache, put on battery save exclusion list, granting ALL PERMISSIONS POSSIBLE to the app... And nothing! It happens again.

Apparently it's something also related to the app not being able to identify that the device went away of trust list and doesn't give the option to put it there again.

Every time I restart phone, restart watch, disable Bluetooth, or even stay long time of inactivity (like after sleep night) it loses the connection and I have to suffer again to re-sync.

Do anyone has any underground solution, or should I give up and switch phone or smartwatch?

  • If you did not see the following thread with a rather long list of tips, then I'd recommend going carefully through them all:

    https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-mobile-andriod/212786/fenix-5x-plus-not-connecting-to-galaxy-s10-after-sw-update/1001843#1001843

You can also try googling tips for your phone model more specifically: https://www.google.com/search?q=pocophone+f1+troubleshootig+bluetooth

It could be also caused by a 3rd party app. If you'd not mind perforning a factory reset of your phone, it would be interesting to know whether it works all right with your phone and a virgin account without any apps and system adjustments. You could then start adding your apps and settings, step by step, and observing when the BT drop-outs start to happen again.

Thanks for the answer trux, yes, I did try procedures in your first link, but they seem to solve slightly different problem...
Probably going to try reset phone and everything, but not that hopeful... My phone just upgraded android version and I was excited to see if the problem could disappear, but didn't.
Will firstly try my phone model bluetooth troubleshoot before...
Thanks for the hints, will try to update topic.

  • Hey Halan,

Were you able to solve this issue?

i have the same problem, and it seems to work once a blue moon. Few days ago, i started receiving the notifications after i started a DUO call. and the following day, it stopped again.

having said that, i always receive the call notifications which is not that bad...

sure, let me know if you solved your problem ;)

    Alex.

Hey Alex, sorry for not updating the thread...

Let's say I did a temporary workaround which can last indefinitely!

I have now my notifications working perfectly for more than one month, but without restarting the phone. (And I'm not sure if I restart it will still working)

After trying several things, apparently now I managed to keep the cache untouched at least as long as the phone don't restart. The procedure:
     - Lock the cache of the app
     - Check updates from device to phone to "every second"
     - Never turn off phone Bluetooth
     - Block all battery saving for Connect app
     - Allow all data usage
     - Allow all notifications
     - Allow all permissions

Of course, do all of that immediately after synchronizing the device from zero to full working!

After some updates on the app and the watch SO, maybe they fixed something, so I don't know if I restart my phone it will still work (didn't need to restart my phone for more than one month, then think it's ok).

Hope I could help, because I know how painful it is when it stop working!

  • Thanks for the response.

I am no phone wizzaed but will try your technique and hope it'll work.

    Have a good one!
