Have for quite some time now had issues with connection my phone with my Garmin Edge 520. Most of the times i must delete all pairing and setup to get connected to be able to upload activity. I have updated my Garmin device and I have tried all tips on the forum. So what to do. This is just very frustrating

  • Huaweis are not easy to get reliably working over Bluetooth. Have a look at some tips here, I bet you did not try all (especially note those specifically for Huawei):

Yes I have tried those tips. I don't have any other devices where i struggle with BT connection. Using it on speakers and in my car all the time.

Speakers and cars usually do not use the BTLE technology (Bluetooth Low Energy), but rather just the standard Bluetooth - there are quite significant differences between those two.

Maybe you did not try all of those tips, listed in the other thread. If I were on your place, and really wanted to find the culprit, I'd make sure that I carefully read and tried every single of them, not skipping any of them just because I think it can't help.

If you are persuaded the watch is the problem, borrow a non-Huawei phone from a friend or from a local store, and try connecting the watch with it, to see whether the connection drops out too.

I agree, i have not done everything :) I have now cleared the cach. Will test if that has any  impact. I think it is the phone that is the problem and not the edge device. I have another phone, where it worked perfectly. Will try it there again now, but sadly you can only pair 1 phone at the time. But it will be good to eliminate the Garmin device as the problem. Thx

  • Also go to the details of Garmin Connect in Google Play store and perform an update of the app. There was an update released today that helps with the connectivity issues of Huawei phones. When you then go, in Garmin Connect menu to Settings and scroll down to the Version, it should show 4.27.1 (as of today)
