Garmin Connect News Feed not showing my steps

The other day I noticed that my step progress is not showing on the news feed like it use to.  I thought maybe something changed and your own steps weren't shown.  I looked at my husband's connect app (we have the same model phone) and his news feed shows his own steps, but mine aren't in his either.  The news feed shows my activities, but not my step progress.  I didn't change settings.  How do I fix this?

    Watch not connecting to phone again today so don't know what the hell is going on? So many people having this problem so something is not right. 

  • woof. this took me on a rollercoaster of trials and errors. I think I saw the solution in one of the posts but I didn't understand it at first. So, what you need to do if you already did all the Privacy setup and all the toggling of options to the expected values.

    It is to go to GC Web, then on the left side on the menu with all options, go to Activities > Steps, then you will see daily summary of all your activities, on the top right side of that, same line as the Date, you will see a lock, next to the gear icon for Settings. On that lock, toggle that to Connections. This will update that setting for that day. So if you want to update several days in the past just go with the arrows moving across the days. As soon as I did this, the Leaderboard updated immediately. :)
