My watch 4s is resetting itself during a walk. What can I do that this does not happen again?

I am very happy with my new watch Garmin Vivoactive 4S , but I think it has a bug in itself.

When I am walking, sometimes the watch is losing all steps and restarts with telling the step. Depending on how many steps I made, I lose all steps. This happened already more thans five times...

What can I do to change this? I have already restarted the watch and installed the latest software update.

Can you help me to solve?

    err, .. the v4.00 is older than I thought, so if you all have it already, it is possibly the reason of the problems - I recommend looking at the thread, and reporting your problems there, trying to get the attention of the developers.

    I have a fenix 5x, my wife has a vivosmart HR and it's been happening to both. We are in a place with spotty mobile data but my wife has been here for over a year now and never had any problems. I was here off and on during the year and got here permanently in October 2019 and never had any problems until last week.
