Yep, experiencing the same thing but with Samsung S9 phone.  Was working until i did an upgrade on my phone and now not syncing.

  • I'm seeing the exact same thing with my Fenix 5 plus not pairing with my Pixel 2XL on Android 10. I've done all the things you've done and have even tried installing older versions of Garmin Connect but nothing works Disappointed

  • Same thing here! Any progress on this one?

Same here with me on Samsung S9+.

I had the problem a month ago.

Any feedback from the brand ?

  • Remove the watch from bluetooth devices on the phone and start sync over. That's helped me.

Update: After I removed the device from Bluetooth, restarted both the phone and watch ( imp ) and tried reconnecting and it worked

Have you tried turning your device on and off again yet? - the universal solution to all tech problems

  • Eventually I managed to get it fixed:

    - removed Garmin watch from Bluetooth

    - disable Bluetooth on watch & phone

    - shut watch phone

    - shut down watch

    - startup phone

    - enable phone Bluetooth

    - startup watch

    - enable watch Bluetooth

    - in Garmin Connect -> add new device

    - on watch -> pair phone

    - repeat until it works (for me, this was 3 or 4 times).

    - follow connection procedure through the Garmin Connect app

Why it suddenly worked, I don't know, but it did. A had some variations with disabling Bluetooth before shutting down the phone/watch or just restarting the phone/watch directly. The version that eventually worked, is the process described above.

My Fenix 5 Plus suddenly didn't connect to my Android phone anymore. I removed the watch from my Garmin Connect app, and tried to add it again. But that kept failing, until I tried this:

    - Remove the watch from the Connect app on my phone (as done above)

    - Forced the Connect app to stop

    - Rebooted my phone

    - Rebooted my watch

    - Added the watch (the normal way) in the Connect app

Before that, I tried several other ways/options, even the rebooting. I guess it now worked because of the 'forced stop' of the Connect ap on my phone.
