4.22.1 till 4.23.1 didn't solve the notification problem

after the 4.22.1 update i received following message when opening Connect:

short translation: 

Access required
Android notifications ended unexpectedly. To restore the notifications for the Garmin device, you need to restart the phone

After restart i haven't this message, but notifications didn't work!

Forerunner 945 and Edge 830 on the latest public Firmware

    thx, thats not the way to experiment with apk's, hope Garmin fix it soon, anyway it's not so important to not survive, but Garmin have to know it! 

    Web Connect is on Version: 4.22.0.20, 19.16.2.0, i don't want to have big version differences between mobile and web

    I've the same problem. Since upgrade 4.22 I don't receive smart notifications as whatsapp, calls, email and text messages. All permission are activates.

    It only works if I uninstall the app and reinstall again, but work just for hours.

    Do notifications work again (for next few hours) if you start app manually? If so then try disabling power management for it.

    i found something very interesting, during the update there was a change, so Garmin Connect runs in the background with battery saving optimization, when you turn the optimization off, voila the notification works after a reboot of the mobile phone!

    In my case have solved thanks ti suggestion on Garmin resource

    In practice the solution was on step 5 (permissio to Garmin connect).

    My phone Xiaomi redmi 5 plus and Garmin vivoactive 3.

    seems, it isn't solved totally, the trick with disabling the Battery saving optimization works, but one time a day i get a message from Connect, that i have to reboot my mobile phone:

    as soon as i get this message, the notifications don't work, only after rebooting my phone!
