Music control problem after firmware update

After latest update on my forerunner 245 music I could not control any music app on my phone. Previously it was working for any app that was playing music on the phone.(Spotify, Poweramp)

Currently the only app that watch wants to cooperate with is Google play Music.

Is there any chance to somehow fix this issue?

Previous firmware was 2.7 and problem popped after upgrade to 3.0

Just did this with my Samsung galaxy s20 and vivoactive 3. It worked

Shame i needed to spend an hour trying to fix it in the first place though.

Forerunner 35 music wiget only vibrates now. Doesnt actually DO anything anymore.. I ONLY WANTED THIS WATCH FOR THE MUSIC CONTROLS!Garmin Basecamp Mac

Hi! Worked for me as well. Additionally in your connect garmin go to app notifications and make sure it is enabled for spotify.

Uninstall Garmin connect from phone. Remove watch from bluetooth. Restart phone.

Install Garmin connect and reconnect phone to watch, IT WORKS, music controls are back as usual with song title, artist and all! Thanks a lot @Wendibp
