I have a Garmin Instinct and Google Pixel.
I am able to pair up them and was getting all smart notifications.
But after 07/15/2019 Google Phone app update am not receiving any incoming call alert if the screen is locked. I have reached out to forums and have identified the issue with all Garmin smart devices. The issue is confirmed with all.
I have tried every permutation and combination to check for notification and it is failing for above scenario always and getting the notification with screen up is intermittent.
I have logged the issue with Google but not much users have identified and reported(may be low user base with Garmin and Pixel). But not much response have been heard.
This issue needs to be fixed as this notification method has become part of life.
@Garmin please check and report from your side to Google team so that they can send the fix.(Garmin reporting has more impact than us individually)
Note: Workarounds available to uninstall updates but with lot of security patch updates coming around, but we can't keep this method. The updates bring along a lot of new features that improve the lifestyle.
