4.19-rc10 won't run on Android 9

My phone updated earlier this morning to GCM 4.19-r10. Firstly, why the *** is something that from its version number appears to be a release candidate being pushed out through the Google play store. Secondly, when I try to run it, I just get an Android popup dialog telling me that Connect keeps stopping. When I reboot the phone, I get the "Connect keeps stopping" dialog multiple times.

The phone is a Pixel 2 running the latest monthly update of Android 9.

For me, deleting data+cache helped.

Same here with SM-G930F (Samsung S7), Android 8, Garmin Connect 4.19-r10

Delete the Cache didn't help.

Huawei P10. Android Pie

After update connect wont open.

Connect sync services keeps popping up. Garmin forrunner 935 wont connect

Yes, updated only half hour ago , no problem. Samsung S7 ( SM-G935FD) Android 8.0.0.

Checked my wife’s Huawei P20 pro, but no update available, she still is on 4.18.1 , will tell her to wait with any update until they correct the problem .
