Update Bluetooth Connection in Connect Mobile for Android

Starting with the 3.11 release of Garmin Connect Mobile for Android, we have introduced an option to update the Bluetooth connection from within the Connect Mobile application to use the native Android Bluetooth system pairing. For instructions on updating please see the link listed here.

Please feel free to leave feedback in this thread.

Ok guys i think i'm going crazy. The fact is so simple. Non of the above solution had any results for me. I turn on the pairing option in my fenix 5 and then open the Garmin Connect Mobile but the programm can't find my watch. So i go to bluetooth settings of my phone and press search button to see what happens and i can see my watch so it's not the watch that has ant problem. Please please does anyone tell me step by step what can i do...???? PLEASE

    I've got HUAWEI P9 LITE 2016

    ------------------

I have same problem (fenix 5 and huawei p9 lite 2017). I didn't find solution for this issue... so we have to to wait for developers from garmin and hope they fix the problem on garmin connect app side.

I'm having the same issues with my VAhr and Huawei P10 lite. Ive tried most of the suggestions all with no luck. in other threads Garmin seem to be blaming Huawei. I've contacted Huawei to see what theya re doing. still no reply. might go back to my Jawbone and that has more functionality
than my Garmin VAHR at the moment!!!!

Having trouble pairing my vivofit with my Samsung Galaxy S8. The pairing seems to work, the Garmin app asks me to confirm the 4 digit number displayed on my vivofit but then the setup fails - message says Sorry, your vivofit was not found. Have tried resetting my bluetooth in my phone as the app suggests but still same problem.

After many attempts, finally got my vivofit to pair with my S8. Vivofit is still not syncing with my Windows 10 computer. v. 6.0.0.0 of Garmin Express was installed today and no syncing has been possible since.

I am using a Garmin Forerunner 225 and an Honor 9. everything was fine until Saturday when my watch connected to my phone and restarted itself, now it does it repeatedly every time it connects to my phone. Whilst doing this it not only doesnt sync any data, it also wipes that days step count data.

I did manage to connect via the cable but i should not have to do this all the time.

I have checked both devices and both are as up-to-date as possible.

Can someone from Garmin please explain what is being done about the update? It clearly has problems, people are running out of patience.

Adding my voice to the crowd.
Fenix 3 (v3.70) is seen by GCM app but fails to connect (time out). The phone never shows the code for bluetooth pairing.
Trying to connect it via android does show the code but does not connect to the watch. Huawei P9 Lite for all that matters.
Tried to reinstall the app and even reset the watch to factory settings to no avail.

since the last update I have constants of bt connections, and the only way to reconnect it, is resetting the cell phone /
Is there anyone who happens the same?
Is there a solution for this?
    the situation is very uncomfortable
I have version 8.70 in the watch cell lg g6 android 7.0
  • When that happens to me, in Android, I go to the Garmin devices page, drag down the notification and turn off Bluetooth. Then I return to the devices page and let the Garmin app turn on Bluetooth. After that, it reconnects within a few seconds. It doesn't solve the problem but it's much easier than resetting a phone.
