Update Bluetooth Connection in Connect Mobile for Android

Starting with the 3.11 release of Garmin Connect Mobile for Android, we have introduced an option to update the Bluetooth connection from within the Connect Mobile application to use the native Android Bluetooth system pairing. For instructions on updating please see the link listed here.

I have Sony Z5 and Samsung A6, have the same issue on both

I also lost connectivity with 2nd last update (before todays update which DIDN'T fix the problem).
It's terrible - now it's just a watch - no notifications, no sync - NOTHING :-(

Watch: Fenix 3
Phone: Nexus 6P with Nougat

Looks like pairing has been fixed.

It has not been fixed for Galaxy A5 2017. Pairing with Fenix 5x still doesn't work

Agree, it reconnected and synchronized by itself after installing 3.22.0.3 from sep. 8 release.
Finally functionality restored :-)

Downloaded latest GCM (8 September) to an Android 5.1 phone. No problem pairing with FR920, but if I cycle power on both the watch and the phone, they won't reconnect.

Wondering if those that found the problem resolved have also been cycling power on the watch and/or phone?

Can you try to exclude GCM from Battery saving/sleep. I believe you can do this via the Battery section in Android..

Thanks for the suggestion, this is done from the beginning. Otherwise the watch lost connection with the phone after 3 minutes.

Also I noticed that my watch doesn't reconnect automatically to the phone after a charging. When I take the cable off the watch, the watch "waiting for phone", but no connection established for hours. The workaround is to start wifi syncing, then wait for about 2-3 minutes - watch reconnecting. Annoying but ...
