Garmin, please add Google Pay Support to your watches!

I know there is Garmin Pay, but at least in Germany its almost unusable. Works only with a third-party service called "Vimpay". You have to manually transfer money from your bank-account to Vimpay and then you just manually transfer money from Vimpay to the Garmin Pay Wallet. Nobody wants pre-paid Wallets anymore in 2018 and this manual actions are totally unnecessary.

Same in UK, none of the major banks are supported still. Including it as a feature In the UK almost amounts to false advertising LOL

I'm in the UK and having been using Garmin pay since I owned my watch. Curve card works and also starling. Any major credit or debit card can be added to curve so I don't see what the big fuss is all about

@Garmin: only reason why I'm not buying the garmin yet is that it is missing the google pay function. I really want to switch from Samsung to Garmin, but without this function I will always have to bring my phone or wallet with me... when are you planning to adopt this?

As far as I know, Google only supports Google Pay on watches running their own Wear OS operating system. Other watches are out of luck. There's no Google Pay for Apple watches either. So there's probably very litle Garmin can do.

As I wrote earlier, it's not about Garmin, it's about Google. They only support Google Pay on smartwatches running their own WearOS (i.e., "Android watches").
