LiveTrack, & GroupTrack Issues

My wife and I have been having problems with LiveTrack "blue screen" when viewing map linked through email request, viewing each other with group track is non-functional on both edge 1000's and having to manually stop live track within GCM Android. We get email notifications from each other when live track starts, but map is blue screen “off the coast of Africa”.
We both have Edge 1000’s and Samsung 7s with all updates. We have checked settings on all devises and started LiveTrack as per Garmin’s instructions. Have tried factory resting both Edge 1000's and removing and reinstalling GCM, all with no change in conditions.
Has been going on for a couple of weeks.

    I am having the exact same problem as the OP with a forerunner 225 and a galaxy S9. Both are fully updated. I have Uninstalled, reinstalled, factory reset and no luck. This seems to have started around the time they ended Facebook functionality with livetrack.
  • Unfortunately the "Downgrade" didn't work for me either even tried going to 4.7 still the same behavior.
  • How do you clear cache and data if the app is already uninstall? Its do that first before uninstall. Right?


    Correct. Actually - when you delete an app, it should delete the data as well (as far as I know). I did it that way. Then installed 4.8. didn't work. Cleared cache & data. still didn't work.
    This happens on multiple garmin devices for myself... my wife... and my mom.

    When I called Garmin, they were well aware of the issue, but did not have an ETA on a fix. The guy I spoke to had an iphone, and said he had just gotten an app update that day (last week), but the change log did not mention this fix. I'm android, so no idea of iphone people are still having the issue.

    I have the S8 and wife is the Note 5. It work for me somehow using the 4.8.

    Well Actually ... I was able to start a live track today, I'm still on 4.7. Maybe a reboot or 2 helped, I'm not sure.
  • I finally decided to try from apkmirror the Connect 4.7 version on Android and Livetrack worked.
  • Went for a long ride today and my wife Note 5 phone, the 4.8 Livetrack is not working anymore. This is sad!

    When is Garmin going to fix this?

    Je suis abonné et cela m'énerve très sérieusement de payer pour un service qui ne fonctionne pas .
    Je suis allé jusque réinitialiser mon Garmin Edge 520 mais rien n'y fait ....toujours le même message envoyé à mon contact de sécurité comme quoi la session n'a pas commencée ou que la batterie est en panne !

    I do not use Beacon.
