LiveTrack, & GroupTrack Issues

My wife and I have been having problems with LiveTrack "blue screen" when viewing map linked through email request, viewing each other with group track is non-functional on both edge 1000's and having to manually stop live track within GCM Android. We get email notifications from each other when live track starts, but map is blue screen “off the coast of Africa”.
We both have Edge 1000’s and Samsung 7s with all updates. We have checked settings on all devises and started LiveTrack as per Garmin’s instructions. Have tried factory resting both Edge 1000's and removing and reinstalling GCM, all with no change in conditions.
Has been going on for a couple of weeks.

I am having the same problem. It started about a week ago.
  • I got the same thing on my wife's Garmin Forerunner 35. Yesterday when I go to look at the map, its all blue. Now today I cant get Livetrack to work on her watch.

    Garmin programmers are terrible!
  • It's an issue with the garmin mobile app. Revert to version 4.8 and it will fix your issues.
There are several other threads on here that will explain the issue and show you where to get an older version of the app.
  • I can completely understand that! :)
Just don't expect the fix to be quick.
I raised a support request to Garmin over the weeked. Still waiting for any kind of response at all...
  • I have no more confidence in Garmin programming! I will go back to 4.8

Is Garmin going to let us know that this LiveTrack thing will be fix?
  • Is it working now with the latest update?

Hi folks, I've got the same issue, but even resorting to 4.8 is useless - I keep having blue screens. It seems to be some kind of interaction problem with Android. I'm running the app on a Samsung Galaxy XCover 4 with Android 7.0 . All requirements for the app are granted. The Edge 1000 is connected by bluetooth. Something tells me Garmin Connect Mobile has a communication problem with the bluetooth stack, because the live session is initiated correctly, invitation e-mail is being sent, but absolutely no data from the sensors of the Edge is handed on to the internet server.

As live sessions is a very important feature for me and lead to the decision to upgrade from Edge 500 to Edge 1000, I really hope Garmin is going to solve this problem!

    Kind regards

    Stephan
  • I'm the same. Surprised I havent seen you lot off the coast of Africa.
