Vivoactive HR Syncing Issue

Hi All,

Despite countless emails to Garmin Tech Support, they are unable to help me and I'm seeking assistance from the Garmin Forum network.

Following a Garmin Connect update my Vivoactive HR stopped syncing. This was rectified about a fortnight ago when I reinstalled the App. However all activity for about a week failed to sync. The data is on the watch but cannot be viewed in Garmin Connect. I have tried everything I can think but it will not pull the data (HR, sleep data and a round of golf on the 11/03/18) but nothing seems to work.

Can anyone suggest a way to sync this data, if it's possible?

    a lot of people, myself included, seem to have issues syncing with the lastest versions of the app. I have sideloaded version 4.1.11 which works fine. Might be worth trying that?

    I have just deleted the official Connect app and sideloaded 4.1.11 above but once paired and synced it still has gaps for a period of about 2 weeks (sleep, HR and golf) despite wearing the watch the entire time.

    Any other suggestions? Garmin have been totally useless!

    maybe try sycing directly with a pc rather than the app?. Never done it myself think you need to use software called garmin express but as i say never used it myself

  • I am experiencing a similar issue with my Vivosmart HR: was woke up this morning 50 minutes earlier, because the clock on the band was ahead. Funny, I thought. Went to the app, to sync and found it unable to connect with the band. Tried turning off and on Bluetooth, the band and nothing. Found that, actually, the date was also wrong on the band (2017/03/24, instead of 2018/03/29!) and decided to reset the band. Still, no connection with the app (it would, once on every 2 or 3 trials, go to the code step - where you have to input the 6 digit code that appears on the band on the phone). Went to another cell phone (that runs Android 6.0. The original one runs 7.1.1) and it works. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the App on the 7.1.1 phone to no avail.

    The band is on SW 4.3. Both Android phones have Garmin Connect 4.4.2.

    • Fixed issue with not being able to pair after restore defaults
    • Fixed issue with time incorrectly changing after syncs

    Further to my previous posts.

    I managed to get my Vivoactive HR to connect to the 4.1.11 but had some major gaps in data, which Garmin were unable to resolve.

    I have just noticed that my watch will not sync and has not been synced since 16/04/18.

    I have tried powering off my Vivoactive HR and also reinstalling the connect app but both to no avail and now cannot pair the devices.

    I can manually pair the devices using the Bluetooth section on my phone and entering the code from the Vivoactive HR but cannot get it to pair via the Connect app. I have tried it paired via the phones BT settings and without.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?

  • I have also downloaded the windows connect program and the watch will connect to that via BT. The Android app is definitely the issue!

    Garmin please fix this ASAP!
