How many custom watch faces can I have (with photos)?

I am using a Garmin 945 watch. It seems like I can only add one custom watch face using ConnectIQ.

This is what I did:

  1. I used the Face It command in ConnectIQ to create three new watch faces. Each of the new watch faces includes a background photo.
  2. I selected one of the new watch faces and tapped on Install.
  3. I message appeared saying the face will be "installed the next time your device syncs."
  4. I repeated the "select and tap Install" process for the two remaining watch faces.
  5. I synced my device (a 945 watch).
  6. On my device, I selected Watch Face and used the up/down button to scroll through the watch faces.

Is it true I can only have one custom watch face with a photo?

I tried repeating the above process, and the watch consistently only contained the most recent watch face that I selected to Install.

  • On my computer I cannot get a photo on the watch face. What should I do?

  • I run Garmin Connect (I'm on iOS), choose More (the three dots), Garmin Devices, Appearance, Watch Faces, Get More Watch Faces, Face It (at the bottom). From there, I can choose "+" to upload a new image, move the image around, drag the time, battery percentage, etc, so it doesn't cover important parts of my photo. I then choose Install and sync. I am ****far**** from an expert at this! I can barely remember the process at a later date, but I just repeated those steps and was able to change the photo. Note that somewhere during those steps (I think when I choose Get More Watch Faces), the "ConnectIQ" app is loaded. You won't be aware that you are no longer in Garmin Connect. That's baffled me at times. Good luck!

    Do you have a mobile device (phone or tablet) with the Garmin Connect Mobile App installed?

    The directions are as  mentions. You can start the process from the Garmin Connect Mobile app or directly from Garmin Connect IQ Mobile app for iOS or android.
